Seungyeon released her first original solo mini album, Uchuu (宇宙), in Japan. Offered exclusively through Tower Records, it was accompanied by plans for release events. It gave her an opportunity to share her singing with Japanese KAMILIA as an individual artist.
宇宙 was released as the 42nd installment of Tower Records Shibuya’s LIVE LIVEFUL! COLLECTION. Seungyeon, whose voice had helped shape KARA, addressed Japanese KAMILIA through original material under her own name. It belongs to her individual discography, rather than a new group release.
Sales were exclusive to Tower Records, TOWERmini and its online store. Type A included CD and DVD, while Type B centered on the CD; both were announced with trading cards. Release events were also announced, linking the record’s arrival with opportunities to meet Seungyeon.

Jiyoung was announced as Mai Oshima’s monthly guest for May, beginning May 6 at 17:30. The series coincided with the upcoming release of JY’s first album, Many Faces.
Hara appeared in Japanese sheet-mask brand ALFACE+’s “Futari” and “Hitori” 15-second films, using white and black masks. Nationwide TV spots were announced from May 8.
The song was performed by SKE48’s Nao Furuhata, distinct from Hara’s screen role. A second wave announced September 15 included “Chance,” “Pinch,” “Mayowaseru” and “Omoi,” expanding the campaign into short dramatic scenes.
Nationwide commercial spots began May 8; broadcasts within selected programmes were announced from April 24.
JY released her first full-length album, Many Faces -多面性-. Featuring “Suki na Hito ga Iru Koto,” “Saigo no Sayonara,” and other tracks, it gathered the varied sides she had shown since her singing debut in Japan into one album.
Her first full album arrived 421 days after her March 2016 singing debut. The official listing includes 好きな人がいること, 恋をしていたこと, フェイク, 女子モドキ and 最後のサヨナラ. Bringing familiar drama-linked songs together made it an entry point to JY’s developing identity as a solo artist.
The limited edition includes Letter, RADIO, I’m Just Not Into You and Up in the Air. Some regional streaming editions list 12 tracks.
Youngji released the digital single “Memory Clock.” Having expanded into variety television and other activities after joining KARA, she released a solo song that placed her own voice at its center, taking a new step as a singer.
The Korean title is 추억시계. Its release notes describe past and present selves supporting each other and moving forward through loneliness and fatigue. A ballad combining retro textures, piano and guitar, it focused on a quieter vocal expression alongside Youngji’s cheerful television presence.
The distribution credits name Youngji among the lyricists, composers and arrangers. The release contains the vocal track and an instrumental. Rather than simply performing a group song alone, she brought her own story into the production, making it a notable step in her individual work.
