Show Me the Ghost lead and BIFAN special mention

In Kim Eun-kyung's horror comedy Show Me the Ghost, Seungyeon played jobseeker Ye-ji. She and Ho-du, played by Kim Hyun-mok, try to remove a ghost from an inexpensive rental house. Hong Seung-beom also co-stars in a story set against young people's housing and employment difficulties.

In her Yonhap interview before release, she said Ye-ji was the first role she prepared independently rather than scene by scene with an acting coach. She played a level-headed partner to Ho-du’s colourful comedy and grounded the film’s serious later message. BIFAN recognised her with an acting jury special mention.

The film had its world premiere in Korean Fantastic: Competition at the 25th BIFAN in 2021, before Korean theatrical release. The festival lists 83 minutes. Seungyeon’s acting special mention, Kim Hyun-mok’s acting award and the film’s Nonghyup distribution award have different recipients.
